Experience the main historical sites of ancient and modern Egypt with this archaeological and culinary tour along the Nile.
We explore the wonders around Cairo including the Pyramids of Saqqara and Giza, the newly opened Grand Egyptian Museum, and the wonderful food of this bustling modern city. We then head to Luxor to see the ancient temples of the New Kingdom and join our luxury dahabeya sailing boat that will take us to Aswan. After seeing the relocated temples at Abu Simbel, we fly to Alexandria and the wonderful seafood of the Mediterranean before returning to Cairo for a final farewell meal.

The Essence of Egypt tour is our premiere tour that has been carefully curated to experience the essential sites of Egypt while learning and tasting the wonders of this interesting ancient and modern land. Your guide has excavated and toured around Egypt over many years and will share some of their favourite sites to see and places to eat, experience the freshest foods while learning about the long history of this amazing country.
We will visit the pyramids of Saqqara and Giza, as well as the lesser visited pyramids at Dashur. See the wonders of Tutankhamun and the royal mummies and learn about the rest of Egyptian history while visiting the Grand Egyptian Museum, the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization, and the Egyptian Museum at Tahrir Square.
We head south to Luxor and Aswan where we visit the many temples and archaeological sites including the Valleys of the Kings and Queens, Deir el-Bahri and Deir el-Medina, and the Island of Philae. Join our luxury private dahabeyia sailing boat, as we travel along the Nile and visit the sites of Edfu and Kom Ombo.
Along our journey we will experience the delicious food. Enjoy a traditional Egyptian barbeque, koshari, shish, and seafood by the Mediterranean Sea. The Essence of Egypt has to be experienced and savoured.
